In-Person CCW Course
Our In-Person CCW Course is perfect for those of you who want a live instructor that can answer questions in real time (we still answer questions for our online course), as well as those who want to complete the class over 1 or 2 days. Once you complete the in-person training, you'll also schedule your range qualification with an Elite instructor.
Obtain your OC CCW permit on your time, from any internet-enabled device you wish. All you have to do after completing the online version is schedule your Range Qualification with one of our instructors at Elite. This is a great option for the busier people, or those who prefer to learn and review the content at their own pace.
If you're brand new to handguns, or learn better in an in-person, engaging classroom environment, our in-person CCW class is perfect for you. During this class, former OCSD CCW Supervisor Mike Duda will go through his presentation while answering any questions you may have in real time.
If you're not familiar with handgun grips, handling a gun safely, or even if you don't own a firearm yet but are wanting to buy one right before applying for your permit, our in-person CCW class could prove to be the format you excel in.
Taught in our beautiful Fountain Valley facility, our in-person class is offered as a single Saturday course, or you can sign up for two weekday evening classes that are split.
For those of you who are more comfortable with their firearm knowledge and excel in an online, self-paced learning environment, then our Online CCW Class is a perfect option for you.
The online version of our class is the exact same content and presentation as the in-person version, and you'll even be able to leave comments and questions that we respond to promptly.
Our online class is available on nearly any internet-enabled device you own, and lets you breeze through the content without conforming to the average pace of the in-person class, with questions, comments and other factors that may slow your learning down.
Not only that, but you'll be able to review the videos and slides repeatedly, at any time of the day or night.
What Happens After The Class? Range Qualification!
Once you complete the in-person or online CCW class, you'll be able to schedule a time with Mike Duda at the local range to qualify with your firearm. As an authorized training provider, EliteCCW can sign off on your permit approval, so once you have your in-person interview with the OC Sheriff's Dept., you'll have everything you need to expedite your permit.
We offer consultations for those who haven't filled out their applications yet, so you'll be fully knowledgeable as to what will and won't qualify you to apply for your OC CCW permit.
If you want to get a feel for different guns before you go purchase one on your own, we have the ability to get you familiar with the numerous firearms available to you through EliteCCW, as well as the local range.
Meet Your Instructor, Mike Duda

Mike Duda is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor with 22 years in law enforcement, who was the CCW Unit Supervisor from 2017-2019.
He was also Patrol Supervisor of Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, and Laguna Woods, Jail Supervisor, Patrol Deputy in Lake Forest, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, Coto De Caza, and Trabuco Canyon and Jail Deputy.
Mike's military experience includes being a Silver Star recipient with 12 years of active duty in the US Army, becoming an E-7 Sergeant First Class, Master Gunner, Senior Instructor / Operator, Armor Crewman, Loader, Driver, Gunner, Tank Commander. He's a combat veteran who took part in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
